Old photos of UpTown Waterloo

Someone who used to live in Kitchener Waterloo 30 years ago recently got together with me so we could start looking for a small condo. To be close to family, he’s moving back after all these years away. He said he’s been lost ever since he’s been back and that got me thinking about how much Kitchener and Waterloo have changed.

The other night when I was watching the election results and the baseball game on TV, I was surfing around and happened across the Waterloo Public Library’s digital collection. Here are some photos of Uptown Waterloo that they have in their collection. They have hundreds. These are some of my favourites.
