Lots has been said recently about minimalism, simplifying your life and maybe saving the planet at the same time. Somewhere in the past decade or two we have collectively come to realize that life isn’t about more stuff, bigger houses and lavish spending. 

I’m currently away in Asia where the apartments are small, the meal portion sizes are small, the vehicles are small and life involves simple pleasures like going to the market or a mountain hike. I could get used to this.

Report looks at price per square foot for different home categories. Locally, condos in Waterloo captured the highest price per square foot in the region, at $402. To find the cheapest square footage in each category, you’ll have to look to Cambridge. Kitchener is in the middle.
